About the Presenter

Laurie Bennett is a Canadian certified French-to-English freelance translator with a background in agricultural engineering. Nine of her book translations (nonfiction work about regenerative farming, rock climbing, and true crime) have been published to date. Four more are on the way, to be released in 2025 and 2026 by repeat clients with whom she has built lasting relationships. A member of ATA’s Business Practices Education Committee, she strives to share tools and experience with colleagues so that—together—they can build sustainable and fulfilling freelance businesses.
