ATA Bylaws: Article X

The annual meeting of all members shall be held at a time and place determined by the Board of Directors in conjunction with the annual meeting of the voting members of the Association, and shall include such matters as determined by the Board of Directors, including presentation and installation of newly elected Directors and officers, and other matters presented by the members at such meeting in accordance with procedures adopted by the Board of Directors.

Procedures for Resolutions to be Presented at the Annual Meeting of All Members

    1. Article X of the Bylaws of the American Translators Association, Inc., charges the Board of Directors to adopt procedures for matters presented at the Annual Meeting of All Members.
    2. Only resolutions of a congratulatory nature may be presented to the membership at the Annual Meeting of All Members. Such resolutions may be approved by the voting members present by acclamation and without debate.
    3. Substantive resolutions may not be presented at the Annual Meeting of All Members. These may be submitted for consideration at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members in accordance with the applicable procedure.
